GFI GLOBAL CUP
We invite you to start your soccer journey with our Recreational League and GFI Global Cup! Our program fosters a love for soccer through ball mastery, teamwork, and community support in a fun, inclusive environment. The GFI Global Cup lets young players experience the excitement of global competition by representing their "country" in group stages, knockouts, and finals. It’s all about learning, enjoying the game, and feeling the thrill of soccer in a relaxed, pressure-free atmosphere.
Age Groups and Match Format
GFI Academy tailors every match to suit the abilities of each age group. We ensure that every player enjoys the game in a way that’s right for them while keeping the experience light, fun, and engaging.
Once your player is registered, you will get access to the full match schedule
Season Details:
- Start: Week of March 2, 2026
- End: Week of May 25, 2026 (12 weeks)
- No Training: Spring Break Week (March 16-21)
Junior Academy (U4-U8)
- Practice Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
- Time: 5:15–6:30 PM
- Ages: U4-U8 (2021–2017)
- Location: 1280 S Bagdad Rd, Leander TX, 78641
- Saturday Games: 9:00 or 10:00 AM
Recreation Academy (U9-U14)
- Practice Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
- Time: 5:15–6:30 PM
- Ages: U9-U15 (2016–2010)

- Saturday Games: 9:00 or 10:00 AM
Training for the Game
Each session focuses on building technical, tactical, and social skills through a series of fun drills and games.
Training Focus
Ball Mastery: Develop your skills with drills focused on control, dribbling, and passing
Physical Fitness: Tailored physical exercises that build agility, speed, and soccer-specific endurance Small-Sided Games: Hone your decision-making and teamwork through fast-paced small-sided games.
Tactical Understanding: Learn the strategies and positioning that will help your team take home the trophy!

Registrations Cost: $360
Uniform Kit: $150
We offer a 10% discount for families with three or more players.
Payment plans available!
The cost of uniforms is not included in your player’s registration fees. The Recreational uniform kit are available through Soccer.com at $125.
You can choose any number for your player’s customized uniforms. If your uniform doesn’t arrive before the first game, please wear a grey shirt and blue shorts for training, and a white shirt and blue shorts for the games.
The Recreational League is volunteer-based. Each team needs at least one parent volunteer coach who will receive guidance and support from our team of professional coaches.
To ensure the safety and well-being of all players, parent coaches must pass a background check. This is a wonderful opportunity to actively engage in your child's soccer journey, making lasting memories and fostering a love for the sport together.

No, the focus is on participation, fun, and development. Every player is celebrated!
Teams are assigned based on age group and skill level to ensure balanced and fun competition.
We accommodate team placements based on friend requests. During the application process, you can enter the names of those who referred you, ensuring your children can play on the same team.
Our recreational program offers in-house leagues, where your child will enjoy the excitement of playing against other GFI Academy recreational teams on game days. This structure fosters a sense of community, camaraderie, and friendly competition within the academy.
Awards & Closing Ceremony
Celebrate the culmination of the GFI Global Cup with our exciting awards ceremony. Trophies, medals, and certificates will be handed out to all participants, with special awards for outstanding performances, including:
