Texas Next is the second division of the MLS Next league, co-founded by GFI, MLS NEXT, and other clubs. This innovative league prioritizes competitive excellence for players born between 2012 and 2006. Texas Next teams train with our MLS Next teams, ensuring constant challenges and opportunities for players to advance based on their development.

Texas Next, the second division of MLS Next, is for players born between 2012 and 2006. It prioritizes competitive excellence, allowing top athletes to compete locally while training alongside our MLS Next teams.

FAQs

10 month Full Year Season: August - May

The annual training and league fees are $2,575. If you choose to pay in full, you'll receive a discount. Alternatively, you can opt for a month-by-month or 6-month payment plan. Financial aid is available based on need. We also offer a 10% discount for families with three or more players.

The cost of uniforms is not included in your player’s training and league fees. The Texas Next uniform kits are available through Soccer.com at $330. These uniforms are valid from Fall 2023 to Summer 2025.

Texas Next is the second division of the MLS Next league, co-founded by GFI Academy, MLS Next, and other top clubs. We participate in local Texas leagues while gaining national exposure through high-profile showcases.

Players that wish to join a Texas Next team are evaluated by our coaching staff and then placed on a team that is developmentally appropriate for the individual.  Team placement is designed to create the correct balance of challenge and success to support the long-term individual development of the player.
