The Penalty Tournament at GFI is an exciting, community-focused event designed to bring out the best penalty takers and goalkeepers across age groups U10-U19. The tournament can welcome 350 players, with around 280 penalty takers and 70 goalkeepers, evenly distributed across three age categories.

Players and spectators alike can enjoy a festive atmosphere filled with fun activities and lively entertainment. It's a great opportunity for young athletes to showcase their skills, connect with other soccer enthusiasts, and be part of a memorable experience in the heart of the local soccer community. Join us for a day of thrilling competition and good times!

Win $1,000 in prizes

The top goal-scorer and top goalkeeper in the U13-U14, U15-U16, and U17-U19 brackets will each win $1,000 in prizes of their choice. For the U10 and U11-U12 brackets, the top goal-scorer and top goalkeeper will each receive $500 in prizes of their choice. Additionally, finalists in every bracket will be awarded GFI merchandise.

Initial Round

Each penalty taker will take 5 shots, earning 1 point per goal, while goalkeepers score 1 point per save. The top 50% in each category advance, with ties decided by sudden death rounds.

Knockout Stage

Quarterfinals: Players take 3 penalty shots, and goalkeepers defend against 3 shooters.
Semifinals: The top 4 advance, with each taking 5 penalties and defend against 5 shooters.
Finals: The two best players and goalkeepers compete head-to-head for the title.

The top shooter and top goalkeeper in each category will be crowned as champions.
