Check In: Players must check in at the tournament HQ before they head to their field. Players are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their start time in order to check in with the tournament director. If a player is not checked in by the START time of their bracket they will forfeit.
The U10 - U12 brackets will start at 1:15PM. Players must be checked in and ready
to go on their field by the 1:15PM or risk disqualification from the event.
The tournament will be held at GFI Performance Center

Players may wear whatever clothes they feel most comfortable to compete
with.
● Bracketing:
Bracketing is made by the tournament organizers and brackets are final
unless an adjustment is made by the tournament director. The tournament director may make any changes they deem necessary. Bracketing is made with fairness of ages and the spirit of competition in mind.
● No Shows:
If a player who signed up and paid for their spot in the tournament fails to show up on time the bracket will go on without them. Players may be moved brackets in order to fill brackets at the discretion of the tournament director.
● Round 1:
Players are placed in brackets, the top 4 players from each bracket will advance to the semifinals. Each bracket has 2 goalkeepers, the top goalkeeper from each bracket will advance to the semifinals.
● Semifinals:
The top 3 shooters from the semifinals will advance to the finals. Only the top goalkeeper from each semifinal will advance to finals.
● Finals:
The Winner of the final will be the goalkeeper who makes the most saves out of 15 shots. The winner of the shooter will be who scores the most after 5 shots. In the event of a tie all players participating in the tie breaker will go to sudden death.
● Tie Breakers: All tie breakers will go to sudden death. If after 30 minutes of sudden
death a winner is not decided the winner will be decided by coin flip.
● Goalkeepers Points:
Goalkeepers will receive 3 points for a save with their hands, body or feet. They will receive 1 point if the shooter misses the goal or hits the post. If the ball hits the post then connects with the goalkeeper they will receive all 3 points.
NCAA rules prohibit us from paying players directly or their parents. The prize will be that players may create a list of items with a value up to $1000 they that wish GFI Academy to purchase on their behalf.
Inclement weather announcements will be made through email. The tournament director shall make all decisions related to playability of the fields, stoppages in play due to the proximity of lightning, restarting play, canceling play for the day, canceling the event, or any other issue related to the operation of the event. The judgement of the tournament director is final. Whenever possible, attempts will be made to complete the tournament, if necessary by re-scheduling, reducing number of shots, eliminating finals, and any other means that are deemed practical by the tournament director within the tournament time constraints.
$60 per player
A player withdrawing from the tournament after being accepted shall forfeit their entry fee. In the event of inclement weather, the tournament director has the authority to restructure or cancel the tournament. It will not be rescheduled for another date and no refunds will be issued once play has begun. If the tournament is cancelled prior to the start of play, a refund less expenses will be distributed.
